VVPPAA Vietnam Veterans’ Day Memorial Service

Len Russell & Frank Cole, President VVPPAA NSW

It was a real pleasure to attend the Vietnam Veterans’ Day Memorial Service as a guest of the Vietnam Veterans Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Association of Australia (VVPPAA) at Bankstown Sports Club on the 18th of August. In laying a wreath on behalf of AVCAT I reflected on the mateship and sacrifice of those who fought during the Vietnam War, as well as other conflicts which have gone before and after.

The guest address was given by Chief Commissioner Stacey Kruck OBE OAM who spoke about his time in Vietnam with the Everyman’s Welfare Service. I found his address both inspiring and truly memorable

I was delighted to be seated next to Stacey and Hazel Kruck during lunch where we were I was able to hear more about their lifetime of experiences.

My thanks to the VVPPA NSW President Mr Frank Cole for his invitation.
