DEWC Scholarship Presentation

DEWC staff with AVCAT scholar Cooper Schahinger (centre)

AVCAT scholar Cooper Schahinger was awarded the DEWC Scholarship in a presentation on-site at DEWC in Adelaide.

DEWC staff are hands-on supporters of the DEWC Scholarship, attending the presentation, meeting Cooper and organising fundraising activities.

Len Russell, AVCAT CEO, says ‘This is the first year DEWC management and staff are supporting an AVCAT scholar. They have a focus on supporting tertiary studies around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). It was fantastic to see how engaged and involved each of the DEWC staff were in supporting one of AVCAT’s deserving young people in their studies at a scholarship presentation event held at their office. It means a lot to our scholars when a sponsor organisation really gets behind them to show support and reminds me why AVCAT is here and working so hard, to support our scholars with their tertiary education.’

Robyn Richardson, AVCAT Scholarships Manager, reports, ‘I was thrilled to be part of the presentation of the first DEWC scholarship and meet the staff and management who are generously supporting Cooper.’

We wish Cooper all the best as he undertakes the first year of his tertiary education.
